World Book Day- 2nd March 2017.

Lesson: English

Class: Elm Year: 2016 - 2017

World Book Day 2017.

As a class we decided to let the children choose a story for us to focus on. To help our children we selected books they were already familiar with to choose from. We voted as a class and Goldilocks and the three bears won.

We made our class hat on Monday and Tuesday. We had lots of fun, mixing the porridge and placing it into the three bowls. We painted the hat black. We all overwrote the words mmm porridge to be in a thought bubble for Goldilocks. There will be images of our fabulous hat in the photos. Unfortunately we didn't win the prize for the best hat in trees however everyone said how much they loved it!

Today we enjoyed lots of different things including:

  • searching through the porridge oats for the different items of the three bears.
  • matching pictures.
  • tasting porridge.
  • making our own cone shaped characters.
  •  going on a where's Wally hunt.
  • listening to the rainbow fish story in the sensory studio.
  • Taking part in the hat catwalk.

It was a truly wonderful day and we all had lots of fun. Even the adults in class joined in on the theme of Goldilocks and the three bears.

  • Daddy bear - Sarah
  • mummy bear - Cayley
  • Baby bear - Callan
  • Goldilocks - Nikita
